Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms") carefully before using Kitchen Provision (the "App") operated by Forstman Software ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Kitchen Provision, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age, have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Kitchen Provision is a kitchen management application that provides:
- AI-powered grocery receipt scanning and parsing
- Recipe import and management
- Pantry inventory tracking
- Meal planning tools
- Smart shopping list generation
- AI-powered meal suggestions
3. Subscription and Payment
Kitchen Provision offers a free trial period followed by a paid subscription:
- Free Trial: New users receive a 30-day free trial with full access to all features
- Monthly Subscription: $4.99 per month after the trial period
- Annual Subscription: $39.99 per year after the trial period
- Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID account via the App Store
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- You may manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings
- No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods, except as required by applicable law
- Family Sharing is enabled — one subscription covers all members of your Family Sharing group
4. AI Features and Limitations
Kitchen Provision uses artificial intelligence to process receipts, import recipes, and generate meal suggestions. You acknowledge that:
- AI-generated results (ingredient parsing, expiry estimates, meal suggestions) are estimates and may not be perfectly accurate
- You should review AI-parsed results before adding them to your pantry
- Expiry date estimates are based on general food safety guidelines and are not a substitute for your own judgment
- We are not responsible for food safety decisions made based on AI estimates
- AI feature availability depends on your active subscription status
5. User Content
You retain ownership of any content you create within Kitchen Provision (recipes, pantry data, meal plans). By using the App, you grant us a limited license to process this content solely to provide the App's services to you.
You agree not to use Kitchen Provision to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Attempt to reverse engineer or compromise the App's security
- Use the App in any way that could damage, disable, or impair our services
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of our systems
6. Third-Party Services
Kitchen Provision integrates with third-party services including:
- Apple iCloud: For data synchronization across your devices
- Sign in with Apple: For secure authentication
- Anthropic Claude API: For AI-powered features
Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third-party services.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
Kitchen Provision is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. AI-generated content is provided for convenience and informational purposes only.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Forstman Software shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Kitchen Provision, including but not limited to food safety incidents, data loss, or service interruptions.
9. Intellectual Property
Kitchen Provision, including its design, features, and content, is owned by Forstman Software and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App without our express written consent.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
